Movie reviews and shit
I saw the latest Wes Anderson film, MOONRISE KINGDOM,yesterday.
I haven’t seen too many other Wes Anderson movies but apparently he’s quirky and original?
I mean yeah dude, MOONRISE KINGDOM was pretty unique, and from what I can tell, it shares a sort of stylistic trend with Anderson’s previous efforts:
carefully planned compositions;
long tracking shots on a horizontal axis;
dependence on straight-cuts only;
few traditional shot-reverse-shot sequences;
occasionally all of these elements combined lead to an adherence to the “one shot is a scene” rule that many fans of the long take employ.
Ultimately, the reliance on meticulously composed medium shots mean that close-ups are used jarringly and meaningfully. When we DO get reverse-shots, they’re usually of close-ups.
Ah yes, the ol’ “promise one thing, deliver that same thing later” scam
This is the funniest thing ever for some reason.
She’ll show U no mercy
but she’ll sho’nuff, sho’nuff show U how 2 grind
Can at its zenith, the music on this wonderful and roaming album was revolutionary and still manages to be decades ahead of our time. This album influenced many musicians that formed after it, and is certainly one of the greatest albums in my opinion
When listening to the tracks on this album, especially Augmn, Halleluhwah, and Peking O, I still continue to be mindblown, just as much as I was at first listen.
I prefer EGE BAMYASI but I agree with the sentiment.
I’m sick.
Being sick to me feels like having this intense, crippling awareness of having a human body. It makes me hate it; utterly, utterly despise it.
